Uncomfortable: Childhood Sexual Abuse, PTSD, What I Wish I Had Known,
and The Cost of Silence

I bought the book, “Uncomfortable” about a week ago and have read it in it’s entirety. Wow! I’m so thankful that a dear friend told me about this book. So many of us have learned that we should be ashamed of the unfortunate events that have taken place in our lives as well as the trauma that haunts us thereafter. From my own experience, I was not able to start the process of healing until I shared my experiences. This book has absolutely helped me feel that I am not alone and that there is still hope. I applaud the author for the courage and bravery that it took to share his life with us all so that we may have the courage to share ours and heal as well.
I have now shared this book with a coworker/friend who has fought similar battles. I highly recommend purchasing this book!

I enjoyed “Uncomfortable” very much. The author shares enough of his personal story to draw the reader into his narrative. I resonated with his discussion of shame and guilt. I found solace and guidance in the words of this book. The fact that he is a believer in God and Jesus Christ comes through in his telling of his life. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing. Eye opening. I loved how transparent he was which is always helpful to anyone that is struggling with the same pain. I could so relate in so many areas. I love how he allowed CHRIST JESUS to help and heal him, as He did for me. I highly recommend this book for everyone. For the ones that has never been through sexual abuse to understand from his perspective. The effect that sexual abuse can have on one and for those who have been through sexual abuse to understand how to heal. Thank you W.J. Novack for writing this book!!!
